I would like to share with you a little of my story. I was living on a meager Social Security Disability Income of $541 a month for 8 years and frankly, although I appreciated it, I desired to be well, and to be able to take care of myself. I was unable to get a job. The future was bleak. In August of 2002, I was introduced to a Company that told me, if I was willing to work, and put in the effort, I could become financially free. I was willing, so my journey began, within a month, I matched my SSDI income, and told Social Security, I did not need their help any more. Since then I have earned over $600,000 versus the $55,182 would have given me - do I like entitlements? I think this way is better, the ability to live better without the limitations of the government gifts. Although, life has it's ups and downs, there is still peace knowing that my work continues to reward me.
